Lancaster Adult College Walk

Thursday 29th January

Williamson Park via Scotch Quarry Urban Park. Approx 1.5 Km.

A pleasant walk starting from the Adult College taking in the old quarry site, and a circuit of Williamson Park. This route includes some up-hill sections to reach the Ashton memorial.

Meeting point Lancaster Adult College, starting at the main vehicular access, under the large green signs on Quarry Rd.

Time: 12.30

Lansil Industrial Estate Walk

Wednesday 4th February

The River Lune Aqueduct, via the River Lune and the Lancaster Canal. Approx 3.5 Km.

A waterside walk, fairly flat, with one short up-hill section, and a stepped descent from the aqueduct.

Meeting Point Lansil Industrial Estate, starting at the entrance to the car parks opposite Sunterra Europe near the pedestrian crossing and the Lansil Sports and Social Club.

Royal Lancaster Infirmary Walk

Tuesday 10th February

Abraham Heights via Carr House Farm, the allotments, Fairfield Community Orchard, returning to the Hospital via the canal. Approx 3 Km.

This is a longer walk, but it is very flat, so swift progress can be made

Meeting point: Lancaster Infirmary, starting outside the Macmillan Unit, near the telephone box.
