Many flexible tickets are available for travel at any time of the day, with Virgin Trains, Lancaster. These include local fares of :

Lancaster to Preston Day return: £5.65
Lancaster to Oxenholme Day Return: £6.35
Lancaster to Penrith Day return: £12.20
Lancaster to Carlisle Value Advance*: £16.00

*The Value Advance price is based on 2 Value Advance 7 day singles (£8.00 in each direction), which have limited availability and must be purchased at least 7 days before travel, specifying the exact times of travel.

In addition Lancaster Station is the gateway to the West Coast Mainline, where you can connect with many stations across the country.

What do I get for my money? Is a lower cost ticket offering great value for money. If you can travel outside morning and afternoon peak times, you can take advantage of this fare. Railcard holders receive the normal discount on top of the already great value ticket, and as an additional benefit, can travel on any train without restriction! Fancy getting away from it all and enjoying a long weekend? The Weekender will help you make the most of your time away! You'll get a great value ticket and the flexibility to travel at peak times on Fridays and Mondays. To take advantage of this ticket, simply travel outward at any time on Friday or Saturday, and return up to 4 days later (excluding Friday). Virgin Value tickets offer great discounts if you buy 3, 7 & 14 days before you travel. Bargains like these sell out fast, so plan well in advance - you can buy Virgin Value fares up to three months before the date of travel.
